Boiler Servicing in Chichester

When should I get my boiler serviced?

Your boiler should be serviced annually so it can be regularly checked for potential leaks and other minor issues (which might escalate if left). The best time to get your boiler serviced is at the end of the summer period (August/September time) so you can ensure it is in great working order before the winter months. Getting it serviced before you begin to rely on it is necessary if you don’t want to risk a breakdown.

It may also be a requirement of your boiler warranty to have a boiler service every year so it's worth checking the terms when you get a new boiler installed.

How long does a boiler check take?

Getting your boiler serviced can take between 30 minutes and a couple of hours, depending on the type, size and location of the boiler. Our gas engineers should be able to give a time frame for your boiler service as well as regular updates throughout the process.

Who can service my boiler?

Your boiler should only be serviced by a qualified gas engineer that is on the Gas Safe register. Here at Shoreline Plumbing, Heating & Gas, all of our gas engineers are on the Gas Safe register, meaning they are correctly qualified to work safely and efficiently on any gas appliances in the home.

Never hire somebody that is not on the Gas Safe Register; the risks can potentially be fatal and it is 100% not worth the risk.

What are the benefits of getting my boiler serviced?

Getting your boiler serviced increases its efficiency by repairing any faulty parts, meaning it doesn’t have to work as hard to operate. This wastes less energy, saving you money on your energy bills.
It also reduces the risks of unexpected breakdowns throughout the year, as any problems can be fixed quickly and cheaply when they are first found, rather than being left to escalate into something more serious and expensive.

Further, if you're a landlord it's a legal requirement to get your gas appliances checked annually. So to stay within the law it's always best to schedule a check-up from your local gas engineer every year.
